Balboa Applications Update – Touch Panel 3 vs Touch Panel 4

We are pleased to share the latest update on Balboa apps for Wi-Fi control in our hot tubs . Below, we detail the key differences between Touch Panel 3 and Touch Panel 4, as well as the fees associated with Cloud mode:

1. Available applications

The two main applications for Wi-Fi control of our hot tubs are:

• BWA (Balboa Worldwide App)
• Control My Spa

2. Spas with Touch Panel 3 + WiFi module

hot tubs that incorporate the Touch Panel 3 with the WiFi module are compatible with the BWA application. This offers two connection modes:

• Local Mode (Direct/Local): Direct connection within the same free Wi-Fi network.
• Cloud Mode: Allows remote control of the hot tub from anywhere via the internet. From February 2026, this mode will be a paid service (€2.49 per month / €24.99 per year).

3. Spas with Touch Panel 4 (integrated WiFi as standard)

hot tubs with Touch Panel 4 work with the Control My Spa app, which is currently free.

From 2026 onwards, all hot tubs manufactured will come standard with Touch Panel 4, and this will be the only compatible application. hot tubs manufactured before 2026 will continue to use Touch Panel 3.
