How we turned the terrace of Hotel Los Hibiscos in Costa Adeje into a place to unwind: a large-capacity Spa Hydra among the palm trees, with the ocean as a backdrop.

Light, palm trees and ocean views: the terrace at Hotel Los Hibiscos already had almost everything. What it lacked was a place to linger.
For a busy holiday hotel, spa size matters. We chose the Spa Hydra, from Aquavia’s professional spa range: 365 × 280 cm and 13 seats, with the space of a small pool and the hydromassage of a spa. Its faceted shape fits into the terrace decking and leaves room for the sun loungers.
The result is a space where comfort, European design and a tropical setting come together to give guests a stylish break by the sea.

How is a terrace approved for a spa this size?
Using the load data: the Spa Hydra weighs 2,880 kg when full, spread over 365 × 280 cm. The architect uses these figures to check the structure before installation. If your hotel has a similar project, we will send you the same documentation.
How is the water managed with so many users?
The Hydra includes a filtration pump with a sand filter and accepts an optional overflow with a balance tank of up to 2,000 litres, which keeps the water level steady when the spa is full.
